Detailed Game Information
Pulling Strings is a simultaneous movement game for 2 players. It is played on a 5x5 grid and players manipulate 'strings' to shift stacks of game pieces. Win by being the first to shift at least 5 pieces on to any combination of your home spaces.
This implementation uses numbers as string labels instead of letters, simply because the web interface obviates the need for finger-spelling.

Very fun, and good for laughs. There is some strategy, but really just an excuse to talk some trash, in my opinion.

This is light enough to be good silly fun. The second-guessing aspect works better here than in Praetorian for some reason. Probably because the decision tree is much smaller. And the games go quickly, with being able to key in 2 moves at a time. A good game.

I don't consider Pulling Strings to be my best design, or really even in the top five. Even so, I still enjoy playing.

A unique design that exercises parts of your brain you might not realize are there. I prefer this over Frames.

Very cool game. It takes a few games to really get any understanding of strategy.

I like the psychology of this game, the simultaneous movement and that one makes two moves at one go. The abstract image of the strings and coins is fun and I imagine it all being kind of goopy (yet tidy). The game can get a bit boring if played too much.

Glad I stuck with this game - the mechanic finally just "clicked" in my head.

Are you pulling strings, or is someone pulling yours?

I don't quite know what I don't like about this game, but it just feels... unsatisfying, somehow. A very cool concept though, and others seem to enjoy it.

Too much mind game, trying to outguess your opponent, not enough board game for my taste.
